Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema.
Like the legendary Sisyphus, deliverymen Laurel and Hardy struggle to push a large crated piano up a seemingly insurmountable flight of stairs.
1932 | 2 wins including: Best Short Subject, Comedy
1997 | Winner: National Film Registry
Easy to understand the accolades this one has. IMO, the pacing suffers some in parts, and as such it isnt my personal fav short of theirs, that would likely go to Hog Wild or Busy Bodies, depending on what day you ask me.
Oscar du meilleur court métrage en 1932, il n'a pas notre préférence... www.cinefiches.com
inspired many cartoons but not funny.
I drove to Silverlake last year just to stand on those steps (thankfully still there) and pay my respects to L&H for the funniest short ever made.
Repeated many times but never equalled, this funny short shows how genius Laurel and Hardy were at making a simple story into one gag after another.
This film disturbs the shit out of me
The funniest 30 minutes ever put on film and that's that.
one of the classic comedies & shot films (every moment is precious in this).
