R.I.P. Miguel Ferrer, you were good. A mediocre attempt by Stephen King to once again re-purpose and reuse Bram Stoker's "Dracula." Yet, Ferrer fully embraces his amoral reporter who is as much of a vampire as the supernatural character he is pursuing. Ferrer gives us a man consumed by professionally, monetarily motivated obssession. Ambition shades into madness as this scaly, bottom feeder meets a real monster.
Cheesy and distinctly '90s at times, but far more imaginative and creepy than any monster/horror films coming out these days. Excellent practical effects and satisfying ending with a rare undefeated antagonist.
