Ratings & Reviews

  1. Nick Schwab's rating of the film The Pit

The PIt's strange style of acting and its oddball narrative takes some getting used to, but once you warm up to it, Snyders is creepy as the adolescent Norman Bate-esque sexual deviant and thus it's a film that works as a psychoanalysis of a deranged mind as it's coming-of-age. Yet, it's also a film that suffers from its analysis being stronger than the too-little-too-late horror, and a lack of narrative momentum.

  2. Jorge Negrete's rating of the film The Pit

Canxplotation. A bizarre mix of child revenge flick & dopey gore.

  3. SeemsLikeFun's rating of the film The Pit

Appreciate the original premise and its commitment to it. I did find it funny at times as well, but it drags even at less than 100 minutes.

  4. Cbarky99's rating of the film The Pit

A Masterclass in the power of a terrible line reading to make a b-movie more effective, especially if that movie is taking an outlandishly specific idea and playing it dead straight (Here it's small town 80's bad seed mixed up in a Grim Fairy Tale of sorts)
