  1. HKFanatic's rating of the film The Priests

There's a surprising charm to seeing so much Western horror iconography filtered through a Korean lens: full moons, crucifixes, and exorcisms. The novelty of it all, and the fact that Kim Yoon-seok is one of the most charismatic actors on the planet, ends up being enough to make up for the reality that "Priests" has no big ideas on faith or evil in the modern world, despite a premise that begs for such rumination.

  2. Mathias Palmberg's rating of the film The Priests

A very boring exercise in filmmaking. Despite a pretty accomplished cast and good production values, neither direction nor script can produce any sense of urgency or identity of its own. I know that exorcism movies in South Korea is uncommon to say the least, but compared to western movies of the same ilk, this was inept and lacked scares and drama.
