A pretty standard thriller in the vein of "Psycho". There were some eerie moments, but overall it was predictable and had no identity of its own. It was nice to see Christopher Lee on screen again, but this was certainly not up to traditional Hammer standards. Confusingly and disappointingly, the film unveils its only twist mid-way through the story without any reveal - it simply gave it all away on a platter.
If I wrote the word "BOO" in capital letters, you'd probably be more scared than if you were to watch this predictable and pretentious film. The double Oscar winner Swank is unconvincing and baring the few precious moments where Christopher Lee is present, there is little else worthwhile.
well, Hilary Swank was not the usual blonde bimbo victim, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan *definitely* not the usual creep. But, all the talents in here were wasted pathetically with awful writing and seriously-should-be-extinct-by-now ominous sound scores.
