Lovestruck poet Attilio heads blindly into Iraq at the beginning of the American invasion, after he hears from his friend Iraqi poet, Fuad, that the woman he loves, Vittoria, has been seriously injured in a bomb explosion.
This film is not currently playing on MUBI but 30 other great films are. See what's now showing
I guess I've just whatched a movie from "the bests" list. There was a scene; he was telling to his girls how he became a poet. That was abaout how to touch our hearts, how to feel us how he feels. He knows it! :)
too terrible, mainly because of roberto bengini aka the most antipathic man ever. i've never ever seen anybody talking this much and this empty. the whole movie turns into a absurde, unbearable "thing".
7.0/10, my review: https://wp.me/p1eXom-3ho
“the film’s exit scene could providentially mark the valediction of Benigni's enduring screen avatar, loopy, puckish, importunate, and above all, incorrigibly romantic."
