40-year-old Bora is gay, unemployed and lives at home. When his family kicks him out, he accepts his uncle’s offer to marry a Cambodian woman for $10,000 so she can come to the United States. When the money runs out, Bora gets another wife, then another… until he has more wives than he can handle.

Shot in a vérité style, this irreverent comedy about green card marriages sharply critiques the homophobic intolerance within the Cambodian community and the absurdities of the immigration system in the US. While dealing with hefty topics, the film’s riotous performances make for a delightful watch.
