  • beepea's rating of the film The Wind

Wonderfully slow, like sugar crystals heated into a syrupy mass. This film may be cold at first, but once familiar with its rhythm, your looking will match its idle pace. its temporality is unique. First Cissé, hopefully not the last. The grandfather’s a real scene stealer. Events happen in this film—but the plot’s passion for the audience and its characters go beyond scandalous incidents in the narrative.
