If I had a time capsule, I'd stick this film in it. It crystalizes all the wrongs of 90s Tarantino plagiarizing American independent cinema and it's hard to imaging a film from 1998 dating worse. Skip Woods seemed to have used the film as a calling card for "bigger projects" - a career of screenwriting hackdom awaits.
Definitely banking on the Tarantino style of the late '90s (everything from the drugs, to the liberal use of the "n" word, to the violence, to the dialog), but still somewhat enjoyable. Not as much/enough Eckhart as I was hoping for.
Started watching the movie out of curiosity, and was totally hooked by the script! I mean really, after 15min it just takes you on a chain of crazy events until you see the credits n say, really, I watched all of it!?
