What are people saying?

  • redux's rating of the film Time Stands Still

A teenager tries to find his feet in the early '60s Budapest, where the post-1956 terror is just about to melt into the ethically confusing 'Goulash Communism'. Essential East European classic. The ultimate Hungarian retro movie, which is also a refined author's item and a very quotable comedy. Lots of mystifying details on first watch, but subsequent views bring many rewards.
