Tragedy Girl's shallow simplexes can't at all carry the story to its end. Its biggest problem isn't the humor, which is its best quality, even if it's of the sometimes too embellished and annoying rapid fire-witticism sort, but the way that it even becomes more strained as the plot loses momentum well before the hour mark by feeling already too played out. The farcical jokes can't hide that it's a one-note film.
