Turtle Diary is a very quiet, contemplative and, ultimately, moving film about two very solitary people who are at an impasse in their personal lives and who, coming from different directions, find a common purpose that renews their sense of direction. It is faithful to Russell Hoban's novel and yet lives independent of its source - a rare event in most book to film situations. Why isn't this on dvd?!!
