To pick just one episode is a BOLD statement, but this is my favorite Twilight Zone story <3 Tragic irony is what life is made of. Most book lovers, painfully aware it will never be time enough, may be spotted reading in buses, queues, tables, beds and airplanes... waiting for the world to collapse.
Dimestore sci-fi as Greek tragedy. One of the rare pieces of anthology television as satisfying as a great short story. Also inspired a Simpsons 'Treehouse of Horror' segment that plays off the differences between Henry Bemis and Homer Simpson. I too never feel truly alone if I have books. Watching the naff 'Twilight Zone Movie' really brings home how good some of the original series is.
