In a small 13th century convent immersed in the placid Tuscan countryside live four Capuchin friars no longer in their prime: Raniero, the guardian father, a grumpy and feisty though pleasant man; Gervasio, jovial and hypochondriac; the simple and ingenuous Bettino and Vittorio.
