A quaint Australian fishing village is overcome by meteorites that turn its residents into the ravenous undead, leaving a small group of those unharmed to find a way out.
2003 | Winner: FIPRESCI Prize
Aside from a killer opening sequence that promises a wacky gore-fest in the vein of Peter Jackson's BAD TASTE, this movie quickly loses steam and becomes yet another boring indie zombie flick.
It aspires to be a mediocre comedy at best. With the exception of one brief scene that takes place on a fishing boat in a lake, the sense of humor feels like a painful Charlie Chaplin cliché without any heart or purpose.
