Gila Almagor’s second of two semi-autobiographical film memoirs about living on a kibbutz with other children whose parents couldn’t take care of them for various reasons. As this film takes place shortly after WWII, most of the children in her group are orphaned holocaust survivors.

Personally, I think it's one of the best films to come out of Israel. Incredibly underrated and overshadowed by "The Summer of Aviya". I know it's marketed as the sequel to "The Summer of Aviya", but it doesn't really want to be or have much to do with the first film, so let's just enjoy it on its own merits, which are manyfold. Gorgeous, dreamy cinematography, good acting, and a compelling story. Fantastic.
