With a name like this you know what you're in for.; either porn or b movie entertainment. Here we have a bit of both mind you the porn is very soft. Two sailors on leave looking to get laid wind up finding an ancient vampire and his three sexy vampire maidens and wind up struggling to stay alive or at least sexually satisfied. Fun at times but even with the abbreviated runtime it runs a little long. Sexy outfits.
2 and a half stars, almost watchable. Street scenes in Manila, and John Carradine, a once great actor, now reduced to this, but still proud and performing his best, as though it still really mattered. Available on VHS.
Watch it in "mute" mode is better. We're less struck by the stupidity of the film and the poverty of the casting. === Le voir en version "mute" (sans le son) est mieux. On est moins frappé par la bêtise du film et l'indigence du casting.
B-Movie in all its glory. Vampire Hookers does just about everything right to be a cult classic except for the way too long bedroom scene. Hilariously bad dialog, a plot that makes little sense, and one of the best theme songs of all time. Worth a watch for the closed coffin fart scene alone.
I thought this was a genuinely good b-movie. The only thing I've got against it, really, is the five-minute foursome-sequence. With this score, I take it that you kind of let the transphobia go with a heavy sigh.
The tittle, setting and the story give a slight hope for an enjoyable B-movie. It doesn't reach the "so bad it's good" level, and that, unfortunately makes this film just plain bad ;) The story is ridiculous, acting bad, editing rather awkward. Also, there are elements of a horror, comedy, even softporn perhaps, but the proportions and timing don't seem to work at all. The music was quite good.
