Surprise box office hit does indeed have enough charm and a consistent number of laughs to be quite entertaining. Sudekis isn't quite leading man material but is adequate here saved by the casting of the rest of the family. Aniston is game for some self parody and offers a both funny and sexy turn, and young Roberts continues to be a developing talent. '..you deviated my septum know what I'm saying..'
An ok-comedy, with its fair share of anal jokes (not the best ones) but far from being the worst I've seen during the holidays. Aniston is not really believable as a stripper, as much as she is not believable as a sex addict in Horrible bosses.
This film managed to earn a few giggles from me, and it was genuinely enjoyable. With funny good actors, and a good script. It's definitely not the usual dumb comedies out there. This was rolling. Never a dull moment. It would be accurate to say, it's a family comedy for adults. You gotta love the music. Also, the gag reals are as fun as the real cuts.
Compared to other American comedy dreck from the last 5-10 yrs, this is actually comedy gold. Unfortunately, doesnt really hold up and runs out of steam here and there. The main problem is having Sudeikis carry the film. A great bit player, but not star material imho. Aniston is awful as usual. Some of the supporting cast elevates this to watchable status. Still pretty uninspired comedy. Watch if nothing else on tv
Horrible movie. It sucked. If Emma Roberts wouldn't have been a part of it, I would have never even considered to watch it but yeah, I did and of course, I laughed, it was funny. But it was the typical American dumb movie and I don't want to rewatch it. Ever. One star for Emma Roberts. Extremely boring, stupid jokes we've all already heard before, dumb plot, shit happy end I didn't really understand to be honest.
The premise of this movie holds some promise of a fun time but the movie never delivers the goods. The actors are alright given the material, but the movie is overlong and in desperate need of trimming and rewrites. Personally I´m getting fed up with the "new breed" of american comedies where everything is watered down to dick and fart jokes, drugs and bordeline racism and sexism.
