  • SpacePirate's rating of the film When Knighthood Was in Flower

TCM aired a recently restored version and it was beautiful. A real testament to the art of silent film. Davies is quite good as Mary. Yes, her career is largely due to lots of Hearst propaganda, but she had actual talent and her early films are similar to those of Pickford. A young W. Powell is also here. Not the greatest, but the fact it has survived in nearly flawless condition today makes it worth a look. 3 stars
