Kim Tae-yong and Min Kyu-dong direct this thriller about teen sexuality and supernatural fury. The film focuses on the young nubile Min-ah, who stumbles upon a diary/scrapbook that details the freakishly intense relationship between her schoolgirl classmates Shi-eun and hacket-faced Hyo-shin.

I like it when an intensity of a relationship is being portray in a non-(overly)sexual way. It makes the connection between Hyo-shin and Shi-eun looks deeper. However, as a horror film itself, this film has failed to amuse me.
The producer wanted this to be a horror. The writer-directors did not. It shows. At times, the visuals and the audio jar, silly 'ghost-whooshes' and grandiloquent chords undermining the film's elegance. One horror scene comes off pretty well, but overall a sense of artistic sabotage permeates the second half. However, this only highlights that there is some good work in this toughly tender and culturally daring film.
