WILD BLOOD

Vahşi Kan

Directed by Çetin İnanç
Turkey, 1983
Action
  • 6666 minutes

Synopsis

Innocent motorists are assaulted by ghoulish, blood-caked bad guys! It seems the only one not getting in on the act is tough-guy Riza, but that’s because the weary war veteran is handcuffed and under military guard. Not to worry – violence will find its way to Riza soon enough.

Our take

Çetin İnanç seizes on the primal ferocity of Cüneyt Arkın in this unauthorized Rambo remake. Marrying Hollywood’s high-octane energy with Anatolia’s rugged charm, this 1980s Turkish exploitation gem is a brazen, ingenious mockbuster that is exhilaratingly entertaining.
