Documentary about rock pioneer Roky Erickson, detailing his rise as a psychedelic hero, his lengthy institutionalization, his descent into poverty and filth, and his brother’s struggle with their religious mother to improve Roky’s care.

Fascinating doc about the life of Roky Erikson and his family, one feels really sorry for what Roky went through in the 70's. This is a man who could have gone to great success had things went well for him. Really enjoyed this documentary.
Great documentary. I recommend it to all 60's psych fans, but especially The 13th Floor Elevators followers. They managed to grab the problem nicely and schizophrenia in the family is never an easy one to cover.
