“I don't know if I am that conscious of it, but some people say that our [with James Hatch] films have a tendency toward dirty laundry. The films say it like it is, rather than how people want it to be. Maybe it is my character that tends to want to do that, because I think the visual artist in me wants to say the same kind of thing...I think it is just my own spirit.”
