A gateway opens in modern day Japan pitting modern military technology against swords and sorcery. Reserve JSDF officer Yoji Itami comes face to face with dragons, elves, wizards and immortal demi-gods as he attempts to negotiate peace between Japan and the residents of a fantastic realm.
