The story is set in the rural landscape of Central Europe at the beginning of the last century. Anka is an orphan girl adopted by a rich aunt. Shortly after Anka’s arrival, the classy aunt shows a different face and a disappointed and depressed Anka flees, wanting to return to the orphanage.
