2.5 There are some moments of brilliance in this, and the first segment reminded me of Wanek's Sun Song, but many of the parts are conventional documentary segments of uninteresting stories and dialogue. Promising in parts.

This film gives a new light towards what outside prison life can really be like. While the beginning was tough to understand what was going on at first, after our introduction it was making sense to me. The film really brings out the struggle and despair of what it's like dealing with your sentence. Not only outside but inside in so many different settings. Its a great watch for anyone into the crime/jail scene.

Deliberately as sprawling in form as the chaos it attempts to comment upon, and concurrently just as charged with logical indignation, this one-of-a-kind film quietly but angrily asks all kinds of questions that aren't being answered or even asked. It goes beyond politics and captures reality and holds it still for us until our attention and thoughts are sufficiently provoked to create a deep disturbance in our mind.

This movie was sad but really honest. It was a take on american prison, and how prison over time dulls down and becomes a way of life. I enjoyed this film because it had a sense of harsh reality to it. I liked how it covered the topic of prison life and how prison is very common in america for many american families and communites. I liked the way this film was trying to potray a messege of how curupt our system is.

This movie provides a powerful insight into the American prison system and shows how some people can come to consider jail a part of life. The system of incarceration clearly has multiple wide ranging dynamics including economic as well as psychological concepts. Not enough has been done to properly illustrate the true plight of someone caught in the system but this film does a good job at doing that and is well done

This is a very good documentary, its very insightful into the US prison system from the story of this documentary gives us with the great cinematography. The exploration of the social impact of the prison–industrial complex in the United States is quite fascinating to watch through out the 87 minute run-time while i feel like in some places it was stretching it a bit but it never falls flat.

I had the feeling the filmmakers were stretching for material to fill 90 minutes since much seemed superfluous. What they showed was barely the proverbial tip of the iceberg of the prison culture that infects the US.
