2014, ranked

Stray observations:

- as for every year, some of the following movies are actually from 2013, but widely released/made available only in 2014. And a lot of great movies are missing here, because I just haven’t got to watch them yet where I live

- choosing Only Lovers Left Alive over I Origins or Foxcatcher for the 15th position was a tough call, I have to say.

- if you are reading this, I assume you are a movie lover. Roger Ebert was a movie lover, too, and he made other people fall in love with movies. If you have the chance, watch the beautiful and poignant documentary Life Itself, and see what a remarkable human being he was.
