Displaced Youth

Cinematic works dealing with the trials and tribulations of youth due to dynamic cultural, social, or economic changes. Characteristic primarily of (but not specific to) postwar-era films of the United States, Japan, & China. Themes include generational gaps, loss of father/mother figures, and shifts in social perception.
