MAN VERSUS NATURE

These are my favorite films that pit man against the forces of nature, not just natural disasters, but movies that have the main character surviving all-encompassing power, wrath and subtle dangers of the elements and the wilderness at large. ( I have excluded, to a great extent, natural disaster movies and movies pitting man against beast, as these really deserve their own lists.)
