My Best Films of 2011

These are films released in the UK in about 2010. I saw films in festivals that I’d like to include here but they haven’t been released. These include the Russian films Elena and Target, an amazing film; the Italian film Li AndThe Poet, and the Norwegian film Headhunters. Also the UK re-released of La Piscine (1968).

I saw about 112 films in the year. I did see Tree of Life but it doesn’t make my top 15.

Although I’m a Brit I don’t often go for British films and I’m a bit surprised to see that three got into my list.
