this is admittedly kind of a flimsy list, as paul has never to my knowledge published any definitive lists of favorite films, and the language he uses in interviews and the like to describe films he purportedly admires is occasionally ambiguous enough to engender doubt that the films he describes are in fact favorites of his or merely films featuring aspects he admires or is inspired by. in any case this is most of the titles i felt (relatively) secure in including. this also includes tv shows but i’m not going to change the title of the list for simplicity’s sake. any additions or subtractions to be made are welcome.
