↑ The Good Fairy
Pre-1950 screwball comedies, in order of preference. I love the first 10-20 films, and I’d recommend anything in the top 35 or so to screwball comedy fans. I don’t care so much for the handful of films at the bottom of the list.
10th would have been: Tovarich (Anatole Litvak, 1937), which is simply brilliant, but isn’t in the mubi database
18th would have been: Thirty Day Princess (Marion Gering, 1934) which is a great little film, but is also not in the database – edit: added now!
32nd would have been Three-Cornered Moon (Elliott Nugent, 1933), which is intermittently hilarious and cringeworthy, also not in the db – edit: it’s been added now
47th would have been: Everybody Does It (Edmund Goulding, 1949), also not in the database
78th would have been: Day-Time Wife (Gregory Ratoff, 1939), not in the db.
