1. Critically derided at the time but have since gained significant contemporary critical and popular followings, such as the masterworks Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992) (d. David Lynch) and Showgirls (1995) (d. Paul Verhoeven).
2. Originally received widespread critical and award recognition but are now largely forgotten, including the brilliant Running On Empty (1988) (d. Sidney Lumet), Hopscotch (1980) (d. Ronald Neame), The Three Musketeers (1973) (d. Richard Lester) and Presumed Innocent...
