Putting together a list for a filmmaker that has become one of my all-time favorite directors. His visual style is truly second to none – just watch his silent films of the 1920s for proof of his brilliance. And his output in the 1930s is arguably as strong as any other director in the entire decade. The man was just a genius. I will update as I am able to see more of his films, but the list so far signifies a significant portion of his work. There is not a single sub-par film on this list.
