Who Let the Dogs Die?

This is a list of movies fearless enough to have non-heroic dog deaths.
I’ve got nothing against dogs nor am I a texting cat but I watched Rear Window and Jaws over Christmas (2011) and got to thinking; how many dogs ever get violently killed off in a movie where they’re just going about their day or just doing their job and it’s not played up as a heroic death? Hmm…
