PARALLEL SPACE: INTER-VIEW

Parallel Space: Inter-View was entirely shot with an analog photo camera. It is a film about the longing for intimacy, a film about the distance between the searching gaze and the world.

Through an innovative material discovery—that the size of a 35mm film frame is exactly half the size of a 35mm photographic negative, Peter Tscherkassky fashions a film of dancing perspectives. Cinema, video, and memory collide in one of this great filmmaker’s most singular masterworks.
