Fifteen years after their divorce, Frans and Lisa set off for an Alpine ski resort to look after their adult son who has broken his leg. During their journey together, they bring to the surface a myriad of emotions and memories which still unite them after all these years apart.

What sounds like the premise of a comedy becomes a delicate and sensitive work in Marion Hänsel’s hands. The French Alps serve as a calm yet threatening backdrop for this study of the remains of a loving relationship. Rarely has affection been made so palpable on screen.
