Oedipus wrecks in this vigorous domestic provocation from director Karim Aïnouz and Dogtooth screenwriter Efthimis Filippou. With an all-star cast that includes Elle Fanning, Callum Turner, and Riley Keough, Rosebush Pruning is a wickedly cutthroat satire of class, fashion, and privilege.

A beautifully modulated turn from Alia Shawkat complicates the broader fun of this zany war satire, costarring Callum Turner. A playfully shot debut feature, Atropia lands its different strands skillfully: touching human drama, tangly undercover romance, and confrontational send-up of US militarism.

Cementing his status as a seminal voice in British filmmaking, the multi-hyphenate Mark Jenkin crafts another salt-sprayed, hand-cranked vision of haunted Cornish tides. Merging the ghost story with time-warp sci-fi, this eerie mood piece navigates troubled seas of national nostalgia and decline.
