Created by Graham Mason with starring comedians Matt Barats and Anthony Oberbeck, the “Reveries” trilogy jump-starts with this dive into trippy waters. Sounding out echoes of the stoner film, the trio makes quick work of dazed characters who might muse on anything—from dolphins to electric cars.

Tuning in again to weird wavelengths, the second descent into “Reveries” hums with paranoia, resonating with the strange-making moment of lockdown. Take that Alka Seltzer fizz at the start as fair warning: Thoughts that snake out of the subconscious this time are absurd enough for heads to explode.

As if smashing the hourglass from earlier installments, then wandering through the out-of-whack time of its scattered sands, the hallucinatory end to “Reveries” gets into meta-referential terrain. In a satisfyingly silly comeback, this last adventure fires ludicrous shots at the finale as genre.
