Best described as the love child of Columbo and The Naked Gun, Graham Mason’s absurdist comedy gleefully spoofs 1970s mystery-of-the-week TV with plenty of love, silliness, and shocking accuracy. Brace yourself for inventive sight gags, increasingly ridiculous suspects, and a sea of bell-bottoms!

Sean Price Williams’ extraordinary camerawork is unmissable in this striking dark comedy directed by indie mainstay Nathan Silver. His camera fixates on a group of friends (including Esther Garrel!) in extreme close-up as a range of atmospheric colors permeate their faces.

Gliding through a somnolent suburbia, Tyler Taormina’s hypnotic follow-up to Ham on Rye captures the unexpected magic and surprise interactions of the witching hour. In this Long Island lullaby, filmed during lockdown, skaters soar and lovers slink into the dark, keyed in to the rhythm of the night.
