“It's a neighborly day in this beauty wood

A neighborly day for a beauty

Would you be mine?

Could you be mine?

I've always wanted to have a neighbor just like you

I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you”

—From “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” by Fred Rogers

“As the 2012 election cycle enters its final phase, there is plenty of outrage to go around on a host of issues, from the economy to health care to immigration. There is hardly any agitation, however, over the secretive process that has racked up thousands of deaths since the last major election. On the contrary, Pew polling indicates that a strong majority (sixty-two percent) of Americans across the political spectrum endorse targeted killing (Republicans seventy-four percent, independents sixty percent, Democrats fifty-eight percent). (In contrast, majorities from the other twenty-one nations surveyed about US drone warfare oppose it.) Apparently, the power of kings plays well in Peoria.”

—From “Anatomy of the US Targeted Killing Policy

“There is a power struggle going on between Reagan’s advisors. Moe and Curly are out. Larry is still in.”

—Cue card joke from Louie, Season 3, Episode 11
