Nele Wohlatz is a German director and screenwriter who lived in Argentina for twelve years. There she made some short films and her first film in co-direction with Gerardo Naumann, Ricardo Bär, presented at BAFICI and later at FIDMarseille.
In Buenos Aires she also shot her first solo fiction, El futuro perfecto, which won the Best First Feature Award at the Locarno Festival in 2017. Using documentary and fiction elements, Wohlatz has questioned in her filmography the limitations of language, the foreign perspective, and the construction of migrant characters’ identities. Her second feature film, Dormir con los ojos abiertos, shot in Brazil, premiered in the Encounters Competition at the Berlinale, where it won the FIPRESCI Critics' Prize.
On the other hand, Rodrigo Moreno is an Argentine director and screenwriter with thirty years of experience. He was part of the New Argentine Cinema and collaborated in collective feature films such as Historias breves, Mala época and El descanso.
As a solo director, he made the fictions El custodio and Un mundo misterioso, both premiered in the Official Competition at the Berlinale, and with the first one he won the Best First Film Award in 2006. In his filmography of apparently minimal narratives, questions about work, time and pleasure emerge.
In 2023, he presented The Delinquents in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival, a personal, playful and free work that reinvents heist films. With it, he won important awards in San Sebastian, Chicago, Ghent and Philadelphia.

Nele Wohlatz es una directora y guionista alemana que vivió doce años en Argentina. Allí realizó algunos cortometrajes y su primera película en codirección con Gerardo Naumann, Ricardo Bär, presentada en BAFICI y luego en FIDMarseille.
En Buenos Aires también rodó su primera ficción en solitario, El futuro perfecto, que obtuvo el Premio a Mejor Ópera Prima en el Festival de Locarno en 2017. A partir de recursos del documental y la ficción, Wohlatz se ha preguntado en su filmografía por las limitaciones del lenguaje, la mirada extranjera y la construcción de la identidad de personajes migrantes. Su segundo largometraje, Dormir con los ojos abiertos, rodado en Brasil, se estrenó en la Competencia Encounters de la Berlinale, donde obtuvo el Premio de la Crítica FIPRESCI.
Por otro lado, Rodrigo Moreno es un director y guionista argentino con treinta años de experiencia. Fue parte del Nuevo Cine Argentino y colaboró en largometrajes colectivos como Historias breves, Mala época y El descanso.
En solitario dirigió las ficciones El custodio y Un mundo misterioso, ambas estrenadas en la Competencia Oficial de la Berlinale y con la primera obtuvo el Premio a Mejor Ópera Prima en 2006. En su filmografía, de narrativas aparentemente mínimas, emergen preguntas sobre el trabajo, el tiempo y el placer.
En 2023, presentó Los delincuentes en la sección Una cierta mirada del Festival de Cannes, una obra personal, lúdica y libre que reinventa las películas de atracos. Con ella obtuvo importantes premios en San Sebastián, Chicago, Ghent y Filadelfia.
