The road linking Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania corresponds to the site of a huge EU infrastructure project called Corridor #8. Corridor No. 8+ is a mosaic film combining fragments from the everyday lives of the characters who live along this non-existent Balkan road.

It's an unusual documentary that displays the portraits of people from the godforsaken corners of the Balkan regions, their feelings, their pain caused by the conflict, their good memories. The road itself sounds as a myth but also impersonates hopes of those people for more prosperity in the future.
An incredible docu-journey along a modern road being built between Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania, following the Silk Road, from 1997 to today. Along the way we meet a kaleidoscope of people, ordinary and powerful, all very human, expressing doubts and hopes about the future within the EU and sad memories of the Soviet past. Errol Morris-like irony in neoliberals and shady tour-guides, but with very subtle politics.
Short on details about the eponymous road, and on the geography and history of Bulgaria, Albania and Macedonia. It is instead documentary as road movie with mini portraits of the interesting people found on the route of the proposed road. Corridor No 8 is prettily shot and continuously intriguing.
