Ephraim Asili’s first work shot on 16mm film, Forged Ways initiates his melodic “Diaspora Suite.” Criss-crossing between New York’s Harlem and Ethiopia, Forged Ways also hops between reality and fiction, as it does music and field recordings, examining the world through many different lenses.
