A creative sequel to a highly original first film. You can't really beat its new setting (vampires hunting on a college campus is certainly a win.) It's not as calculated in its script or as funny as the first, nor does it have as great as a villain as Sarandon, or even Farrell, but it's more stylistic in directing and is still quite fun. A decent sequel.
Good sequel that retains the essence of the original but goes its own way. Ragsdale and McDowall has great chemistry and the photo and score is spot on. However, the villains are not as good or interesting as Chris Sarandon was in the original which hampers the movie somewhat. Another misstep is the running time which could have been trimmed down a bit and made the movie a bit leaner and effective. Still good tho!
