Mitsuko is an able worker at city hall, but unambitious. She turns down opportunities for advancement from her boss, Eiji, and also his subsequent offer of a relationship, preferring the simple life to that offered by Eiji. Instead she picks up with, Hiroshi, an amateur guitar player and dreamer.
