“I grew up in a small town in Denmark and was very interested in politics and world affairs. I wanted to make documentary films. But I was from a family of academics, so I was unsure how I could get to do documentaries. I considered studying anthropology, but towards the end of high school I met a friend of my brother who had just enrolled at a documentary photography course at Gwent College in Wales.”
