At a Georgia home for troubled orphans, brooding teen loner Les sticks up for meek kids, endures taunts from bullies and is unfairly singled out as a troublemaker by the orphanage supervisors. Les then meets Rudy, a convict in a local chain gang who’s sympathetic to the young outsider.
