“I had the idea of telling ['God's Land'] as a documentary, which didn’t pan out because I couldn’t get in touch with any of the real people. So I decided, hey, I have some friends and a few of them are voice artists. All I need is a camera and a microphone. I’m happy to have some version of it existing, as opposed to just a script.”
