Flicker NYC, Tomonari Nishikawa

Flicker NYC, "New York's only all Super 8mm film festival," celebrates its 10th anniversary at the Southpaw in Brooklyn tonight. "The event is the brainchild of David Teague, editor of the Academy Award-winning doc short Cynthia Wade's Freeheld and Jennifer Redfearn's Sun Come Up, which was nominated in the same category at this past year's Oscars," writes Peter Knegt, introducing his interview at indieWIRE. Tonight in Los Angeles, The Intensity of the World: An Evening with Tomonari Nishikawa. What's more, his Tokyo - Ebisu is part of The Deep End, a program of experimental shorts screening April 24 and 27 at the San Francisco International Film Festival, and Shibuya - Tokyo screens at Hot Docs in Toronto on May 4 and 6.
